Swing into Spring at the
Second Annual Big Bash Fundraiser Gala!
Line up your babysitters and polish your dancing shoes! Our Second Annual Big Bash Gala Fundraiser, “Swing into Spring" will be held on April 17th at Congregation Dor Tamid.
Things will be cookin' and the joint will be jumpin' as we enjoy buffet dinner catered by Chef Cary's Cuisine and live music from the sounds of “Gwen Hughes and the Retro Jazz Kats" who will play favorite jazz, swing, R & B, rock & roll and top 40 tunes as we dance the night away! Show your commitment to our vibrant synagogue and join us as we celebrate the Fifth Anniversary of Congregation Dor Tamid.
The details: Gala ticket prices are $75 per person which includes one drink ticket. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening. Although there will be no assigned seating, we encourage you to organize a group to attend the Gala and reserve a table (10 people) in advance so you can be guaranteed to sit with your friends. A limited number of reserved tables will be available on a first come, first serve basis - so don't wait - all other tables will be open seating! If you would like to reserve a table, click here for the reservation form. The reservation must be paid for in full ($750.00) in order to be reserved.
We are planning on a full house that night, so order your tickets early! In addition to dinner and dancing, there will be incredible raffle items and a live and silent auction. Doors will open at 6:30 pm, so come early to bid on exciting items in our silent auction or to just visit with friends for pre-dinner drinks, hors d’oeurves, and conversation.
The nitty-gritty: Keep in mind that a significant portion of our annual budget comes from fundraising. By supporting this event, you will be not only be enjoying a fun-filled adult evening, but will also be helping CDT stay on a healthy financial course and make a difference for our congregation. So, come to the Gala, help us to celebrate our past while we create our future, and 'Swing into Spring' at this Fifth anniversary celebration! Big Bash 2010- Let's Spring into Auction!
Celebrate CDT's 5th Anniversary
Preparations are underway for the 2nd Annual Big Bash Fundraiser to be held on Saturday, April 17th to celebrate the fifth anniversary of our congregation. Our Big Bash Fundraiser Gala is the biggest fundraiser of the year - and we need your help to make it a success! As part of the event, we will be holding a Silent and Live Auction. The auctions are critical in raising money for our congregation and we want to make them as enticing as we can for our guests.
We are asking each of you to help by reaching out to obtain donations so that we have the most exciting event ever. You can help make this happen in a variety of ways:
1. By donating your business products, services, vacation home or timeshare, accumulated air miles or other items, or by asking your family and friends who may have these items to donate.
2. By soliciting donations from the businesses you frequent: restaurants, gyms, bookstores, grocery stores, clothing boutiques, hair salons, theaters, jewelers, etc.
3. By helping to underwrite a portion of our expenses.
4. By hosting a theme party or event at your home(you choose the date, time, theme) which Temple members can bid on to attend -- potential ideas include a Sunday brunch, evening luau/barbecue/pool party, or elegant cocktail hour. You can set a limit on the number of attendees and underwrite the costs., At the auction, a set price would be in place for people to simply sign up.
5. By placing an ad for your business in our ad journal/auction book/temple directory that will be given out at the gala, or by soliciting an ad from family, friends, or businesses you patronize for an advertisement.
We would like to make this as easy as possible for you, so if you would like help in soliciting or coming up with an idea, please contact one of the gala chairs and someone will follow up with you.
